Propagation of Lacquer tree (Toxicodendron succedanea) by tissue culture method Lacquer

Lacquer tree is the multi - purpose tree, a high economic valuable tree in
Vietnam. This study aims to find the most propagation method of T.succedanea species by invitro - tissue culture. The tissue culture is a vegetative propagating method; it is effective solution can produce series seedling - tree as good and uniform quality with a root system like the seedling tree growing from seed. The materials used for tissue culture from the lacquer tree 9 - 12 months ages have been making be tree shoots in the nursery and the experiment conducts in artificial conditions. Two different specimen of lacquer tree: the juvenile shoots
(neither old nor young which has 1/2 parts become woody) and the old shoots which are in lignified process (has 2/3 parts become woody) and three different nutrient media were used in this experiment. Results showed that using 0.1% concentration HgCl2 in 4 minutes for juvenile shoots is the best - sterilized method in tissue culture of T.succedanea. The Sprouting buds rate to reach 20.27 - 44.16%; the infection explants rate less 50%. The suitable regeneration buds medium is MS* + 0.5g/l Activated carbon medium (3.01 buds/clump and buds length: 1.58 cm). The proper rapid multiplication buds medium is MS* medium to supplement 1.5 mg/l BAP + 0.5 g/l activated carbon.
