Characteristics of the mountine forest in the special forest protecting the landscape of Ha Long Bay, Quang Ninh province

Abstract

The survey results on the characteristics of the rocky forest ecological system in The special forest used for landscape protection in Ha Long Bay, Quang Ninh province showed that, the total area in the area is 2,594.78 hectares, with a 4 - level equipment volume: The poorest forest has the largest area 1,144.17 ha with volumes ranging from 10.9 - 49.1 m 3 /ha; poor forest 854.44 ha with volume ranging from 50,5 - 82.1 m 3 /ha; next to the state forest without the amount is 370.73 ha with the volume ranging from 5.2 - 5.9 m 3 /ha and at least the average forest is only 225.44 ha with the volume ranging from the 103.3 - 115.6 m 3 /ha. Density of timber is from 410 - 795 trees/ha with the number of species ranging from 17 - 145 species, the number of species participating in the o composition formula ranges from 2 - 8 species, only the poor forest status is not have composition formula (IV%<5%). The density of regenerative trees of the rocky mountain forest ecosystem ranges from 6,422 - 8,160 trees/ha, in which the rate of promising regenerated trees ranges from 23.5 - 43.9%. The number of tree species regenerated in different forest ranges from 35 -170 species, of which the number of species participating in the composition formula ranges from 2 - 9 specie
