Assessment of the adaptability and growth of Dolichandrone spathacea (L. f.) K. Schum families in the seed orchard of gene collection combined with progeny testing in Quang Tri province at 9-month-old period

Abstract

Those families’s survival rates assessed by  05 2 standard are the same and range from 78.33% to 95%. Using Duncan test to categorize, 29 plant families were chosen with the highest growing rates of D0 reaching 1.46 cm to 1.59 cm. As for height growth rate, 23 plant families were selected with the highest rates of Hvn peaking 48.1 cm to 50.91 cm. In regard to the growing evaluation by diameter and height, Sig values in those groups completely reached above 0.05, showing that there was no growing difference among various families in each group. The results of analysis and synthesis based on 3 criteria: survival rate, peak height, stem diameter have selected 20 elite Dolichandrone spathacea families with survival rate, height, stem diameter, which are grouped and ranked.
