THE SPECIES COMPOSITION OF ENTOMOPATHOGENIC FUNGI AT THE MUONG PHANG HISTORICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL LANSCAPE IN DIEN BIEN DISTRICT, DIEN BIEN PROVINCE

An investigation of entomopathogenic fungi in Historical and Environmental Landscape of Muong Phang was implemented from April to August, 2011. Seven fungal species were identified in two
genera. The 6 species belong to Cordyceps genus: Cordyceps nutans, C. sphecocephala, C.elongatostromata, C. crinalis, C. prolifica and C. pseudomilitaris, and 1 species is of genus of Beauveria, Beauveria bassiana. Cordyceps elongatostroma, C. prolifica and C.pseudomilitaris were first recorded for fungal flora of Vietnam. Species Cordyceps nutans, Beauveria bassiana have highest frequency: 96.40%, 1.35% respectively. Other species have appearance frequency of 0.45% for each species. Species belonging to Hemiptera order are main host of the entomopathogenic fungi.
