Researching the effect of technology parameter of press on some mechanical and physical characteristics of wooden - plastic composite materials from wood processing waste combined with HDPE plastic waste

Wood-plastic composite material (WPC) is a composite material that is
mainly composed of thermoplastics PE, HDPE, PP, PVC..., can be from
recycled or primary plastic together with cores of other materials.

can be manufactured by extrusion, injection molding or flat molding using
a profiled mold. In addition, some other bonding aids may be added. Wood
pulp is obtained from wood processing by-products combined with HDPE
plastic waste from daily life.
Experimental results show that: (1) When the pressing pressure increases
from 0,8 MPa to 1,2 MPa, the static bending strength increases from 6,82
MPa to 11,54 MPa, the same is true for the increased tensile strength. from
8,83 MPa to 10,91 MPa, (2) The time increased from 20 minutes to 25
minutes, the static bending strength and tensile strength increased, then
increasing the time to 30 minutes, the flexural strength and tensile strength both decreased. (3) This is also the same for pressing temperature, when
pressing temperature increases from 160 - 180
o
C, the tensile strength,
flexural strength, both increase. In contrast, when the temperature is
increased to 200

The research results have determined the suitable pressing mode parameters
to create wood-plastic composite materials from wood waste after
processing combined with plastic waste of HDPE origin with the flat
pressing method with a mold of: Pressing pressure: 1,2 MPa; Pressing time:
25 minutes; Pressing temperature: 180
o
C
