Assessment of drought tolerance of some Hybrid acacia and Eucalyptus varieties during the nursery period in Phu Tho province

Study on drought tolerance of some hybrid acacia and eucalyptus varieties are crucial for forest breeding. The results of this study play a important role to contribute scientific evidents for choosing suitable acacia and eucalyptus varieties for afforestation in Phu Tho province. Our results indicated that acacia varieties tolerated to drought better than eucalyptus ones. Among eucalyptus varieties, PNCTIV variety exhibited stronger fitness to drought than other ones; and KL20 variety showed a higher fitness to drought than KLTA3 and BV10.
