About the Journal

The Forestry Science Journal, managed and published by the Vietnamese Academy of Forest Sciences, aims to facilitate the sharing and exchange of information within the field of forestry science to support scientific research, education, and management in the forestry sector. The journal was licensed and began operations in 2006, building upon the upgrade of the "Forestry Science and Technology Information Sheet" issued since July 1985. The Forestry Science Journal holds the international standard ISSN code 1859-0373 and is presented in the Vietnamese language with English abstracts. The journal is formatted on A4 paper, and each issue consists of 120-150 pages.

Scope of the Journal:

The topics covered for publication in the journal include forest restoration and management techniques, improvement and breeding of forest trees, forest ecology, management and protection of forest resources, forestry land, biomass and forest carbon, climate change adaptation and mitigation, conservation of forest genetic resources and biodiversity, economic policies, timber harvesting and processing, forest health, non-timber forest products, agroforestry, and forest planning surveys.

Publication Frequency:

The journal is published six times a year, with specific release months as follows:

  • Issue 1: January - February
  • Issue 2: March - April
  • Issue 3: May - June
  • Issue 4: July - August
  • Issue 5: September - October
  • Issue 6: November - December

DOI Prefix:

The journal uses the DOI (Digital Object Identifier) prefix for unique identification.

Duplicate Checking Tool:

Crossref Similarity Check is employed as a tool to verify and prevent duplication.

Peer Review Process:

Manuscripts falling within the scope of publication and meeting the writing guidelines will undergo a double-blinded peer-review process. At least two independent experts, both domestic and international, within the relevant field will evaluate the submissions anonymously.
